g'day im about toattempt installing LPG into my new car, from my old one. going to fit compressor, stepper motor, wiring, lpg tank etc then take it somewhere and get them to fit the hoses and test it n all that s**t (just hoping to save a few bucks on the install and parts) anyone got suggestions on what to do and what not to do when taking out the tank and refitting it? any help at all would help. just dont wanna break s**t or blow myself up. cheers :D

make sure your lock valve works, personally unless you really know what your doing or have done it before i wouldnt be touching it to much.

you can get a cold burn, gas leak to your house blowing up(seen that on tv lately? lol)

make sure the tank is locked, no gas in the lines or mixer etc before u take it all apart.

might be an idea to run the system in the car its in to empty the tank. if possible.

and make sure everything is closed like fuz said.

and if the tank is near 10 years old get it checked, they must be checked every ten years for road worthiness.

i doubt any respectable LPG installer would certify unless they did complete installation and at the very least installed new lines and tank inspection

your only cost saving may be to uninstall old system and find someone willing to install and certify 2nd hand system
