Hi all,

I managed to get hold of a set of ltd chrome wheels and wanted to know what was the best polish out on the market to clean and protect chrome? Ive been told that the ltd wheels only have a film of chrome on them?? is this true?? I dont want to take the chrome off and im realy cautious of how to go abou it.

Any help would be much appreciated

Cheers lowlane98

Anything chromed only has a "film" of chrome on it, the main shine is provided by the underlying coats of copper and or nickel which is then plated over with chrome, so avoid harsh abrasives as it will remove the chrome eventually, if you've seen old chrome that has worn and yellows, it is actually the nickel plating under the chrome that has been revealed, as the chrome has been polished off.

I use and recommend 'Meguires' NXT Generation All Metal Polish on my Chrome LTD wheels
