I have a lukey 3" super system on my car and find it great, good quality and power from a relatively cheap system. Lukey have been around for ages, their quality has come down sliughtly recently to reduce costs but they still produce good systems and mufflewrs IMO.

By far after listening to all the exhaust systems via the website - It makes me want to buy a AU XR8 and put a lukey system on it... F**k it sounds better than a BA XR8 with 0.4L more juice. :D

I had their 2.5inch M/B system on my old EL and it was very good.

Just listening to the sounds on the site ... I have the I6 in my XG ute ... and with the cat back system I just got installed at Carline ... it sounds just like the one for the AU XR8 5Ltr.

I have had people ask me if I have dropped a 5L in the car ... which I haven't.

It sounds pretty damn meaty when revved ... and the back-off burble is VERY LOUD ... nearing the sound of a back-firing car ... but sounds awesome.

I guess the ones coming to the Bathurst cruise will hear it on the day at the end of April.

It seems as if the exhausts sound lessens after time. Mabey the guys/gals could tell me how the lukey system sounds after the passage of time?

I've had a 2 1/2" Luley mandrell bent system with straight through mufflerand hot dog for almost a year now (bit under 20,000km's), and i still often undo my window, turn off the stereo and drive along listening to it. i'm very happy with the sound and what not.
but, i wouldn't touch there extractors if your in the market for new extractors (i'd consider them for a cheap second hand set or something, but if your buying new then there's better out there for not much more).

o.k, jusyt like to say i just picked up my exhaust (the one that started this post) and its not mch like to one on the site. i havent yet got it installed, so i dont know how it will sound, BUT, on the site they say it is painted black, it not, they say it will bolt on, but there is some welding required. also it says mandrel bent, and i dont know that it is, ive never seen a mandrel bend, but i have seen other ones (and how they dip in) and although this doesnt seem that bad it still isnt an even 2 1/2 inches all the way through.

also, i had to pay an extra 3.50 bucks for a new gasket, who charges $190 for 2 mufflers and some pipe and doesnt include a gasket. damn tight a**'s LOL

i will post up some picks of the bends and the mufflers (if i get the time and i can work out how LOL) so you can decide for yourselfs if its worth the money)

Did you ask for a manrel bend 2.5" bolt on cat back system specifically thou?

I had to pay for gasket; and extra support they used i think - not to mention like 115 for the tip!!

Lukey have several versions of their sports series, the basic being non-painted crush bent systems which sounds like what you got.
