i'd rather use the cold air coming through my cold air intake through my insulated airbox than using all the hot air from the entire engine bay.

no offense but seems a waste.

Dude i had a similar set up and the car gets really hot, try and see if you can put some heat shielding around the filter to keep temps down.
LOOKS GO THOUGH!!!

guess they can fool idiots who drive all makes of cars
can understand making a difference for some cars, but mate, not the I6, ud definately be fighting to find someone here who agrees with u.. as u can probably already tell

and as for believing someone who's an engineer at the place, wat else did u expect him to say? "ur better off chucking a good quality panel filter in"?? i think not

You really need to get the air box back in there, that setup would be worse for your car than the stock one.....if you wanted a pod you should have used your air box and put the pod in it, I am fairly sure they fit...

Cheers

nah.......that intake pipe is still to small for any power gains. try a bigger pipe, say 80mm.

the sensation you're feeling when driving, thats your mind playing on you.
some times you can get a little delusional with every mod u put in, especially getting to much air into the head.

Is it possible that you were running rich before the pod when in? now with all that hot air, it might of help to correct the air/fuel ratio. leaning it out a bit.

*you did say " I don't give a stuff what you guys reckon..."

why don't you mount that pod in the factory box?
keep the stock look, but have the 'added benefit' that u believe the pod is giving you.
you could also tunnel some cold air to your airbox from underneath.
