Make it legal boy's, here's a list of engineers to look up before you start any major modifications.

Link below for a accredited engineer in your area at bottom of page.

There is no point. Honestly, you pay the money, and should you happen to be a d**k to the cop, or the cop himself is a d**k, you still get a defect, even with an engineers certificate dangling in his face.

You can't give a defect with an engineers certificate...that just defeats the purpose of getting one. BUT for people like me who like to be legal it is a good idea to go to an engineer...especially for those who are doing big conversions.

They can still defect you, it's your responsibility to go to vicroads with engineers paperwork to get it off.

And then when you go to Vicroads to get it cleared you just show them the engineer's cert. Beats the hell out of changing it back to stock then putting it all back on.

As long as you're inconspicuous, theres no reason a cop will defect you if it was kept to a minimal e.g {ride height, noise level & over size tyres}
all of the above draws attention if you start changing things after its been OK by an engineer. good example is: you get pulled over due to excessive noise from hooning then the cop notice your car looks rather low, then tells you to pop the bonnet, what does he find?......a exposed pod filter & a couple of Nos solenoid.

Sooner or later its gonna be harder & harder to mod because people keeps neglecting the guide lines. then the only thing you get to certified is a fluffy dice hanging down your rear view.
