after testing the intake for 2-3 days i discovered it had been rubbin on my bonnet :( and the tough noise i thought it made was actually caused by it rubbing every so slightly and also the rubber which connects 90 degrees was rubbing and this caused it to sorta echo the engine noise inside into the cabin. now that i have removed more sound deadener and cut out some bits of the bonnet i dont find it make that tough noise nor rub. And for power hmmm im not so sure the noise was a illusion. Ive been giving it to it lately so i havnt really noticed much power gain i guess but im sure it has gained. hope that makes sense.lol. (will test on cold night when its quiet)

Scott: I'd recommend Pacemakers, either PH4499's or PH4480's. The PH4480's are the competition series.

Here is a animated pic, showing before and after shots. Pitty I didn't get them taken on the same angle.

Yeah just had another look under the bonnet. The top of the intake toward the back where it touches the sound proofing has started to scuff. I've only got one bolt on at the manifold intake position, I wonder if securing it with a second one on the rocker would help it. But no scratches anyway, only a matter of time until she gets through the paint probably, theres nothing much that can be done anyway. I think it's a given, a naturally occurring thing with a 3" wide intake I suppose. 8-)

One of the reasons I cut a small hole in the bonnet, so when the underbonnet felt went back on to cover the hole it pushes in with no pressure on anything. I had to slot the hole on the cabin side so as to bolt both brackets up. Your other choice is to try & bend the brackets down but damage to the powdercoating most likely to occure.
I bet when you close your bonnet it would be up a little on the passanger side.
