either mild or stainless steel

mild steel should be painted to stop rust flakes entering the intake.

they are very rarely bent up - usually welded 3" bends

Just about any exhaust shop can make them up

mate im not sure of a place where u could bend it up here in newy. i could ask around though.

but yer for the 6's the intake pipe would prob be welded pieces of pipe, as it is quite a wierd shape to bend. if it were a 8 it wouold be easy :P

Is there any reason why you couldn't get one of these made out of 3" aluminium???

I just thought aluminium would be lighter and less prone to heat soak... of course it would cost more though...
