As the tital says, iv finished doing a manual conversion to an EL 4.0L and i cant get the thermos to turn off. I found a printout of the plug to bridge out with a resistor and did it but the plug was different to mine. Any help would be greatly apprectiated.

the thermos stay on because the auto ECU isnt recieving an auto trans temp signal from the Auto, I'd expect rigging up a resister arrangement at the appropriate place to "trick" the auto ecu by supplying it with the same voltage as the auto sensor does at operating temp... sorry i cant be more helpful as to where the place is, but soem1 with a workshop manual should be able to figure it out

You can change the computer and that will fix it or you can bridge out the reo connector with a resisitor

I changed mine to a manual ecu personally but they are hard to find!

Speak to MRE40L as he used the resistors and should be able to help
