wierd i got told on a thread i made a while back that it needs to be an au box I was told earlier and later boxes dont fit without cutting the tunnel and repositioning the shifter

Fair enough, well i'm assuming they would know if they can use an EL box in an EB. Fairly keen on getting it done might ring up the next couple of days.

lol no worries.
Can anyone tell me how easy the T5's are to drive, I don't have a whole lot of manual experience so just wondering if it's much different to a corolla for example like the feel of the clutch etc. I've got plenty of experience with the EB but just want to know how hard it will be getting used to the T5. cheers

depends on the clutch you get.. is that with a tickford ecu??? or u gonna trick yours?

i knew F**k all about it and i worked it out costed me about $350 all up loving it now i have a full manual conversion for sale if you are interested

it wont run as well as well a manual ecu might just rev a bit higher but it will still be fine to use until you find a manual ecu just keep an eye out for a manual ecu

I have a complete manual EB series 2 here if your interested. After 700 bucks for the whole car. Motors stuffed but it is lowered and has a sports exhaust etc.

Took it down there this morning, keeping my auto box just in case... Should take 2 days, I can't wait, especially since I'm driving my sister's 89 Auto pulsar hatch in sky blue in the meantime.

Hey guys got the 5spd today, so far definitely recommend Olympic motor wreckers. Dropped the car off monday morning at 9am, they called me at 12:30 today (tuesday) and said it was ready. The price was 1250 drive away, and they let me keep the old 4speed. Clutch took a little getting used to but now she goes off like a cut snake.

In qld you just need qld transport to note it as a transmission change, as long as it was an option on that series.
