So do I have to notify Transport SA of the transmission change?

In qld you just need qld transport to note it as a transmission change, as long as it was an option on that series.

hrmm... interesting. i rang qld transport and asked what i needed to do and they said nothing, as long as i used all stock gear from an equivalent falcon (which i did) then theres nothing to do at all. useless tits!!

and 1250 drive away is pretty good. when i did my conversion it blew out to that much when i put some new gear in there (clutch, clutch cable, gear boot, au momo gear knob etc.) best mod though isnt it. enjoy your now manualed falc!

Havok - well done. I used to go to Olympic wreckers alot when I used to own me EB. good blokes there. What kind of clutch did you fit? Was it what ever they had or did you fit a HD one?

Do you know if the price you were quoted was for e-series only?

I dont know what kind of clutch it is but its fairly heavy. It was out of an EL with 180ks on the clock, I reckon it would be the same price range for EA-EL, possibly a bit more for AU onwards.

The answer for the legalities for the manual in sa. Is... they don't care... I work at the same place transsa do the inspections in my city. And they said its fine as long as it looks factory. ie no ugly wires hacked up shifters and no oil leaks etc
