i just got the mont converted to manual...does it matter if the ecu is out of a ef or does it have to be out of an el in order for everything to work properly.....and if i was to buy one that isn't in the car what part number do i have to look out for

What's with the caps lock XTT909?

As XTT909 said, EF and EL have different ignition system. EF have electronic ignition (coil pack) and EL run the mechanical ignition (distributor). So you will need an EL ECU for your EL...or get a J3 chip to change your current ECU into a manual one.
