I've also driven lots of BA's and own one, and the auto wins out every time, especially for lazy people :)

blackjack_original- did you ever think that someone might be tired and could not concentrate before you come out and start saying stupid a*** s**t like you did. I mean you could have just said some thing about fixing it up because you could not understand it. I admit it was bloody bad but to be a f**k wanker about it is just bloody ridiculous. That’s something a senile old f**k who thinks he is better then everyone else would do!!!

blackjack_original- What has age got to do with it??? I notice that you left your age out of your profile!!! Its probably because you are some old coot who thinks that he has been around long enough to tell everyone what to do and that everyone should have to listen to every word he has to say as if he is all high and mighty.

Back on topic, most people would say that the manual's are quicker, this is true in the XT’s, XR6 n/a and turbo's, but I know that one of the after market XR6T turner's is getting like .5 of a second quicker down the 1/4 mile with an auto. But I would say stock the manual is going to be faster in the BA models. But I have noticed at work that manual XT's and N/A XR6's are very rare to come by. Although we do get them in.

HA this thread is pure gold!

Re auto's vs manual: which do you like to drive better? I think both are fairly reasonable box's. I would say that an auto may be a little stronger and a no brainer to drive.

Ideally you should try and drive both first before you buy.

The auto box isn't especially strong. Mine's having trouble coping and the car only has ~180rwkw. Been through a few transmission bits and peices now.
