lol, no problem. Carby cleaner isn't the same as degreaser, it more removes carbon rather than grease.

ohhh okai
i might go buy one tomorrow cheers. car is working now just a bit of cranky idling at start up. besides that she is fine. thanks for the awesome help. might need more help some time later when i do up my car.

Sounds like intermittant electrical problems. Check earth / battery / wiring connections. Also read the fault codes from the ecu.

yeah i was going to buy new wires and rewire some earth wires and also check all the connections. might need to change some relays as well since my fuel pump relay is playing up. gotta tap the relay everytime fuel pump doesn't sound. cheers mate

check your battery's charge should be around 14volts.

My EF is doing the same at the moment, hunting for idle on cold start up's. I diagnosed it to find it was the TPS (throttle position sensor) & IAT (Intake air temp), havent changed them yet to see if the problem still occurs.

i just reset the ECU and calibrated the TPS. and since then the car started. just gotta get the car to stop hunting for idle during start up and also to lower the fuel consumption. might need to look at the Intake Air Temp too. cheers
