i was just wondering if there are any minor ways of making your car faster or sound better by not realy adding anything. I am a learner and just want to know.

What model car?

Advancing the timing is just about the only way to get more power without adding anything.

what car u have?>
if your just after a car that sounds louder, then u could add a pod filter, or get a diffnerent rear muffler pretty cheaply, and would sound louder, and may even give u a bit better preformance depending on how its done

edit i know both involve adding something, yet tahts about all u can do to get a car to be louder cheaply is add somethign, short of cutting off the exhaust somewhere or removign some of the intake that will make ure car run alot worse and possible casue damage

illegally? you can punch holes through your muffler...it sounds better but chews more fuel too.

Where did this guy ever post that he wanted to exceed the speed limit and endager himself and others...???

He was simply asking if there was anything he could to his car himself to make it go harder or sound better. He's obviously new and doesn't know a great deal and was looking for assistance...

You're only 18 mate...

By the way, who said that exceeding the speed limit automatically endagers lives? You're obviously one of these people who believe everything the media and politicians throw your way and treat it as gospil...

Maybe one day you will learn...

With an EF there isnt too much to do - Computer controls timing. Will respond well to exhaust and cam (both pretty cheap).

Otherwise enjoy it

just lower it. ,put a nice set of wheels on it and put a sports exhaust. if it looks and sounds nice .that is all you need.
