when the car sits idling, what does it sit at? should be 750rpm.

Have you cleaned your trottlle body out? checked for any air leaks? you can use the throttle body cleaner to check for air leaks to.

Have a read of my oil Change thread and read why i do the same as "cjh" and use a motor craft filter and Mitsubishi oil.

fordmods-technical-documents-diy-f38/the-routine-oil-change-t86839.html

If i dont get Mitsubishi oil i use "Valvoline Engine Armour" i went to that after Penrite gave me the worst cold start with the same Viscosity !

when the car sits idling its at about 1000-1100 it fluctuates!
havent cleaned my throttlebody...i put another ISC on it which i had cleaned aswell, i might put the original back on give the throttle body a clean and see how that goes, and check for leaks aswell.
i just check all those small hoses yea? the little black ones?

which relay corresponds to the passenger side fan? and where can i buy these relays from..just any auto shop?
i also need to replace my A/C compressor as i believe its had it..posted a thread awhile ago about it making funny noise when on..and now when i turn it on if im in park it will practically make the car stall

after using penrite im not particularly happy..ive used nulon for this oil change and im still getting rather noisy lifters on start up..and i mean quite loud =S
will possibly try the motorcraft filter and mitsubishi or engine armour oil next time!

thanks for all your helps guys!

OK if you do what you plan to with Mitsi/Valvoline oil and a Motorcraft filter i think you will be happy.

ok well today i got time to take off the isc give it a clean with throttlebody/carby cleaner and gave the throttle body a bit of a clean, made up a new gasket with regular size holes in it, adjusted the base idle..turned off car reconnected isc, and shazzam my idle is fine, idling at 750 or fractionally lower like previously stated!

annnnd i think i have sourced my problem for the rev hang after turning off car..leaving for say 5mins coming back and starting and getting massive rev hang..and this may possibly be why i was having trouble starting the car aswell??

the little spring that connects to a bracket thing on the side of the T/B and the other end is on the pulley? where the throttle cable is!
how silly of me..it mustve come off when pulled things off to put my rocker cover off...and now its slightly harder to put my foot down >.< haha. soooo stupid
