Ride: 2008 FG XR6

I'm very new to the whole modding game, and I don't want to go too overboar.d At the moment my 2008 XR6 is stock except for no spoiler and tinted windows. I was looking at Pacemaker headers ($450 on eBay, unless you guys know somewhere better I can get them - willing to pay a little extra ot get them fitted). Obviously a new exhaust and air filter are on my list, but I'm not sure what to get! Any tips would be great.

yeah trade it in for a bf2 xr6t and smile...

na seriously, as an NA motor, you want (in rough order)
exhaust/intake (so it breathes better)
...and thats about it. next steps are cam, head work, tighter diff maybe, ecu, tune, etc
nothing overly wrong wioth stock filters (at least thats what ive read around here), suppose you could do something with a cai (cold air intake)
exhaust is how loud and how much?
you got megabux you can make it legal and rumble like an old school 8
standard basic system is a set of headers (pacemaker are good, also difilipo) high flow cats (venom - site sponsor) and a 2.5 inch exhaust system. how many mufflers you get is how much noise you will make. you can legally just use 1 (i think) in nsw as long as you arent breaking the noise limits. there are plenty of people that do exhaust / muffle systems, popular ones include redback (good and reasonable prices) lukey (again, quite good but still reasonable) and you can get them at any old muffler shop

Intake, extractors, exhaust and a tune. I'm guessing you've got a 6pd auto?

Never mind guys. I decided to utilise the search function and do a bit of research. Sorry I do do that earlier!
