did a run down the 1/4 the other week. and since putting in a stage 2 wade cam im .5 sec worse than b4.
i can feel the power there, my guess is ive lost all tourque down low. this comes as my 60 ft time was 2.6 sec.

on the car already was a set of super salon pacemakers with 2.5 inch exh't.
running a standard auto and diff(non lsd).

so can i be right by saying ive lost all my power from the launch which is y ive lost power, or is something wrong somewere.

or am i just a s**t driver, lol

your not the only one to get a result like that.

i ended up taking the cam out and puting the XR one back in

2.6 for the 60 is really poor.

Have you dialled the cam in properly with a vernier cam gear?

My experience with advancing and retarding my JMM dev3HL would say you may need to advance the cam up a little.

Min revved its brain out well but was a dog down low till I dialled it in properly. Even then though the low end was better before the cam.

This is exactly the problem many people have because they think every last KW will make the car faster when in reality a car can be tuned to have 10% less power and yet do the quarter 5% quicker. How? Its all about torque and power spread and the driver to a lesser extent. For example if you have 90% of your maximum torque available throughout over 50% of the rev range, the car will be MUCH quicker than one that has 90% of the torque available over 20% of the rev range but 20-30% more peak power.

The problem is people think they need more power. Its not as simple as that.

check all timing liek ont he vernier and that as that makes alot of difference

launching at 2000(thats the stally) and shifting manually.
and no wheel spin

i didnt think u needed 2 play with timing on the wade 2 cams?

not sure about pauli
but
mine was dailed in as per wade specs.
made about 15 runs down the strip trying different launches and shift points.
and vever got with in.5 sec of the the time run with the xr6 cam

i even got intouch with wade again and asked them about a few things to try and they told it wouldn't help and to send the cam back for a swap of any grind i want

What he said!!! Stick the standard cam back in.The most imoportant thing is to maximise power down low not at the 500 rpm up top

have to agree if its dialed in thenthis grind isn't working for you.

Stick the XR6 back in or go for Jim Mock new DEV4.

The JMM gear is expensive but it works.

I have the older dev3hl and it works even with an auto fairmont wagon.

It went from 16.8 to 15.6 for the 1/4. Still no rocketship for the 60' though 2.36 best and worst 2.64 giving 15.6 and 16.1 for the full 400m. Just to show the diff same car driver track and day just different launch technique. Best was stall up to only 2000 and no wheelspin.
