Good quality extractors (pacemakers etc) will provide a noticable improvement in mid range torque.

I just fit a set and you can really feel the difference from 1800-3000.

If the engine is in good nick you might consider a flash tune that is more focused on low-mid range torque.

There's a few kw in changing the inlet piping/air filter as well.

Find a XH XR6 ECU and put a bbm on it and thena a BA airbox, intake pipe and cold air snorkel to suit.

yeh first get a set of extractors and 2.5 cat back system, and hi-flow cat

then have a look at pod filter and 3 inch mandrel bent air intake piping(more for if you went BBM manifold)

then u be looking at bbm and ecu to suit...

then after that u be looking at a cam and tune

but basically you should notice a bit better torque and take off at lights from the full exhaust system and pod filter...
