I got some new oil filters yesterday for my cars. I got the motorcraft AFL 1 oil filter for the EF/EL.
I've just noticed that the actual number is AFL 1 MC. Is that the same as the AFL 1s or is it different. I havent noticed the MC bit before so I'm not sure if its a revised part number or the wrong filter. Its exactly the same size and same holes and rubber ring.

Have I got the right one?

i'd suggest MC just stands for MotorCraft - same Z9 filter they have been using for decades!!
