you've definatly got a major problem. My car uses a small amount of coolent but its an external leak.

Yours sounds like a shagged head gasket. By constantly topping it up your just putting more and more water into your engine :(

That's only telling you the water jacket hasn't blown through to an oil gallery or run off.

It's pretty obvious you have at least got a head problem, if you're pouring that much in and you have buckets of steam coming out then that's a sure sign.

Does the engine run smoother when there's no water in it? If it does then that again is pointing out the obvious.

how did you check? it would be best to drian the oil to get a definative answer

but also, the oil gallerys run down the left had side of the head while the coolent passages goes down the right. Which may explain why there is no coolent in the oil :?

Another place to check is down the right hand side of the block. Is there greey/white s**t running down?

you've got water going straight into 1 or more of your cylinders, only place out is the exhaust manifold in the form of steam. You should title this topic, "water injection does have it downfalls".

Yeah unfortunetly with the E=series falcons are known for head problems
in part due to the Radiator being partially blocked originally when the engine block is first cast .I was told all the sand was not fully removed.Eventually the Radiator was partially blocked and that what happen to me,I was lucky when I went up the mnt buller the car overheated so I took my radiator to be repaired and he told me why it was blocked
Cheers

That has always been a problem with Fords, add to that piss ant head bolts they used in pre AU and you have a problem.

I think the obvious has been stated, why bother checking oil now... It's too f**k late you killed it lol.
