problem with car alarms these days, is no one gives a s**t anymore, they look over and go, oh yeah just someone forgetting to turn it off before getting in, i mean you hear so many alarms go off, no body gives it a second thought, i mean its better than nothing, but pretty much useless, ya need something that will ring ya mobile when your car is being broken into, or something like that, im sure they have that, if not PAT AND PENDING!!! :)

Yep, I agree.

Sorry to hear about the bad news :(

the world is going to s**t , i am sure if you caught him it would be some 14 year old punk with nothing better to do out wile hes parents are at home taking drugs and such. it makes me sick that you cant leave your pride on the street anymore without someone trying to flog your subs or wheels or just take the whole damn car. it sickens me so much i have quit my job and am moving into the bush where people leave the windows down on there old kingswoods and leave the keys in the ignition. sigh only way to get away from it.

Man utter f**k roobs ...so many dip s**t morons out there that have nothing better to do than damage nice cars...bloody disgrace.

I had my EF XR6 front window smashed and just recently bought an EL XR8 off a FM member whos also had someone tried to bust his driver side door locks...

Hopefully the new lock barrel doesnt set u back too much man

They can be broken into if you know how they work. Many ef/els have been broken into with a screwdriver.
Once they are in they will generally plug another smart lock barrel and key into your car and leave it for 45mins so smartlock learns the barrel and then start and drive off in the car!

Mate I know how you feel. Having your pride and joy violated by some prick. I lost my EA, it's been 2 weeks and no reports of it.

Lucky they didn't drive off with your car, but yes that feeling of getting it violated boils in you.

You can I guess do so much to the car before they'll just take the keys off you if they really wanted it.

with regards to the thief putting another barrel in and waiting 30 - 45 mins for smart lock to relearn...i hope this is their method of taking my car because as they are waiting they'll be struck in the head with a throwing knife from my boot.

The only thing I can think of (which doesn't help ya now) is install a pager alarm (I put one in my XF) they recon the range is good for 1.5 kms line of sight, but at least that way when your pager goes of you can run out there and beat the F*%K out of them.

Damn, bad luck mate. When I finish up at TAFE and head back to my car I'm always thinking, "is this the day some C*** has had a go at my car?" It's a scary thought.
