that is just to modify the cat as the pacies are longer than the standard exhaust manifold and they change the flanges from 2.25 inches to 2.5.

they have to cut the two ends of the cat to bridge the header & exhaust.

I still don't get why you've done it then, specially if all 6 cylinders exhaust goes into one, then splits back into to?
Why not just a single pipe dumping before the diff? What;s the advantage of the 2? I wouldn;'t think it'd be any louder than a single pipe with one resinator, and it probablyu weighs a touch more...
Yes, it looks cool, but only you see it when your working.
I'm not trying to bag you, just wondering why?

The idea is, to blow/fan the smoke away from the car. you'll end up with a wider cloud of smoke behind you with a nice & clear field of view in front.

its a fairly old setup. its an elusion aid I surpose. bigger the cloud better teh chance of winning, at the same time hoping your eng will hold. I think thats why they call it burnout comp.

yeah this was really noticeable on the old ford pick up that has been at nats last couple of years(won it last year). has a 460 big block in it, if thats not enough!, has the exhaust set up like that, and makes a huge impact, larger smoke dispersion, and just looks all round better when u got the tyres fully lit up, burning the lovely rubber!!
