Or something.

I had the battery die on me (left interior light on) so got it jump started by RACV.

Took it for a drive and everything was fine.. kept driving for about 20min and it got the charge back up.. now it stops and starts fine.

But on the drive back from my mates joint down burwood road etc i noticed that it had 0 go off the line... i've deduced that its stuck in 3rd or 4th gear.

Strange.

Anything other time i've had it stuck in limp home mode its been when i've been screwing around with my MSII and i noticed then that it doesn't let you put it in reverse (stalls), but this will let me reverse just fine.

So whats wrong with my car!!!

What can cause it to go into limp home mode (and what can i do to try to fix it??)

Ugh!!!>..

In other news i just took it for a spin and everything seems to be normal.

I've never had this happen before so what could be some likely culprits?

Overheating? Low fluid (drive but no changes?)?

what else? trying to narrow it down cause it was mighty strange/dangerous/annoying!!

dangerous when i turn right at some lights and i cant get my POS moving !

Have you done a self test? throw any code?

Any chances you damaged any wires when installing the MS2 (or an bad joins)?

Haven't done a self test or anything..

I didnt touch the original wires, i had up a harness with a loom plug and an ecu socket, so thats not an issue.. is something mechanical.

But as I said its gone back to normal.. might try the self test.

Yeah happened to me too, I ran it almost flat and went into limp home mode, I only noticed it when it didn't change into 4th. I just drove it till it had more charge turned it off then back on and was all good.

Another time I think I shorted something and I had to reset to computer to get it out of limp home mode.

Lack of voltage can cause limp home mode and driving the car to charge the battery only gives it a surface charge it really needs a proper battery charge AND a computer relearn. :D :D :D
