Does anyone know why this might be happening all of a sudden?

Which dash lights? all? just the cluster?

If all, it could be something as simple as a shorting bulb/holder in the taillight.

Something is joining the Park lamp circuit to your brake light circuit. My guess is that it is happening at the brake light bulbs. Have you replaced your tail light bulbs lately?

Either way, I would make sure that all of the brake/tail lamps are working correctly. Remove them and re-insert them correctly. See how that goes

Yeah .. I have actually. I swapped out the EL lights for EF lights. I had to use the EF loom to be able to fit the orange bulb. I must have mixed up the bulbs in the process. I am a novice. I don't really know what I am doing. I'll see what bulb I put in that was wrong.

I read that. That is the EXACT problem. I put a one-bottom globe in the brake light fitting - should have been 2-bottom. Thanks a million. Will fix this. Much appreciated!

One of lifes little mysteries why it does this...... is the globe insides heat up and join together causing the light up my dash problem.....

check all your brake lights

Thanks everyone. That was the exact situation. One of the bulb holders was F**k. So I cut off the same holder off the EL one that I took off it, and joined it to the EF one that I put in. Great to have spare parts lying around. Many thanks for tolerance and help.
