is that switch in line with the starter soleniod wire or did you use a relay?

wondering when id see another...i did mine bout 8 months ago n mounted the button in the same place too..used the illuminated ring from the cig lighter to light around the button..

so what? you put the key into ignition and car won't start...so you had to push the button for it to start?

i wanted to do that 12 months ago and wanted to so it tomorrow. bugger. i got the ring pull on a coke can and ripped the heating coil out of it and jammed it in.

LOL, old school alright.
that was a kill switch for my old 351c TE corty back in Sydney, rigged up by a mate.
remove the cigarette lighter to immobilize the engine & you can't start it no matter how hard you try until the cigarette lighter was placed back in.

Now the thief's know how to start your car dude. A red XR6 falcon sedan rego "ZBB 092" LOL

yeah lol but you still need the key to get power to ignition.
