I finally have all things and put it together today...
A few problems with fitment of the intake to the lid as the hole for it is out of line to the left by an inch so the intake doesn't bolt to the lid or body at the moment.
Here's a few pics on before and after so far...

Hopefully I will have everything painted and fitted properly in months time

Thank you Fuzion for supplying me these goodies :P

Yeah we should. Should look at doing something after new years when everything dies down and I can get the time off work when I want it.

It does have a little bit of roar. It has a good sound and noticeable when the engine is idling and the air con switches on.

It's hard to say if there is much improvement on performance and response yet over my K&N panel filter.

i paid $110 for the scoop, and $100 for the lid from memory. will fit an 8 fine - but are designed for the XR bonnet & are a straight fit into their current scoop holes

edit: and the filter is just a K&N 3" pod with an extension on the intake piping to bend it into the airbox so it fits! :)

I got the scoop and lid from fuzion pod from autobarn (yay for xmas sale). I don't see any problem with it fitting a V8.

After cutting the a larger hole for the intake in the right place I was finally able to bolt them together.

.. and bolt the intake to the mount again.

All the tools need to mod the lid to fit :D
