Id be looking at it this way mate:

You could take out a loan for an engine and try to screw 250hp from your current engine or:

Laugh at them while they make their repayments cos you own your car and owe nuthin

Meanwhile save the money you wouldve spent on an engine and buy off the shelf power: BA Turbo!!

Its your choice

LOL i was thinking large boost

i can't see why i can't get moe power than a small MR2

i can't get 2 eaton supercharger cheap the full kit for them like nothing and don't even need the loan for them but if i do that what do i need to mod on the motor to run them?

Build a solid bottom end for the 6, forged pistons etc, then get some seroius headwork done. Then and only then, invest in a multipoint, dual stage NOS kit. With a built bottom end there is no reason you couldnt run 300-350hp NOS. Have the NOS staged to deliver 100hp from 1500rpm to say 3000, then the next 250hp shot comes in til redline, about 5500 on a xflow 250. If you can get it to hook up, and lauch it using a decent auto and stall, you should destroy the MR2, and certainly scare the living hellout of those skylines.
Just my 2 cents
Brett

Its one thing to have more power at the treads than those guys.. but also keep in mind their cars way half of what your XF needs. You probably need 500hp to keep up with them.

Hence my suggestion of 300-350hp NOS. The Built motor should make 150hp, add that to 350 of NOS and bingo, 500hp.
Cheers

That hard a shot of n2o would shatter the 250 block into a million pieces. You could try to stage it like bret has said but then there would be more then 2 stages. Still the idea of over 100hp shot at only 1500rpm is dangerous and not for the faint hearted.

Build a solid bottom end and turbo it. That would be the most logical way. Look at MR0250, the green Xf from melbourne. 427KW at the wheels, which translates to 572.3 HP at the wheels. It makes this at under 5000rpm so you can imagine the amount of torque it makes. Your a mechanic so I'd assume you know what torque is. If you don't then you are either just taking the piss out of us or you are very simple.

As another tough turbo XF just look at Ezy10. Its a dark blue turbo Xf again from melbourne but it runs on LPG. The only thing after market in that engine is the rods, pistons and ofcourse the bolts/studs. Everything else inside the engine is dead standard and it makes 480hp at the wheels. A combo like this could be duplicated for under 8k but then you have to worry about the gearbox.
