ok so i have a fg xr6. And i can get a custom 2.5 exhaust cat back for 420. Or a full fg f6 xr6 t exhaust for 300. Which would be better. Are the turbo better exhuasts?

Go the turbo exhaust. Unless you want a louder exhaust. The turbo echaust should flow better anyway, 3" to centre, twin 2 1/4 to rear. Plus its heaps cheaper. $420 is a rip for an off the shelf 2.5" exhaust.

No idea sorry. Havent even looked under a b series yet haha. Stuck in the 90's hard.
Exhausts are piss easy to work with anyway. Im pretty sure it bolts straight up to the cat, as the cats are in the same place turbo vs na. I just dont know about the flange size and bolts lining up on the flange. Easy fix either way.

He did state custom exhaust...which for $420 sounds cheap. Off the shelf isn't too bad...Redback going for $350?

Exhaust aren't hard to play with assuming all flanges are there and you get new gaskets. I would say the XR6 Turbo exhaust would be a good upgrade and probably won't void warranty if it's just a cat back system.

I would be pretty confident in saying that it most likely isnt a custom fabricated exhaust. For a custom made, mandrel bent on site, and welded exhaust i would expect more than $420 for it.
Exhaust shops i know of tried to tell me that a redback 2.5" catback was a "custom exhaust". No its not. Its mass produced, you fit it, then charge me through the roof.
Thats all i was saying...

Well yeah...hence me saying it is cheap. If it's just an ordinary off the shelf unit, well it is expensive...unless that price included the exhaust and installation.
