I have a Ea 1988 model, Six cylinder, t5 gearbox, for some reason ever since i got it, it has had a flat spot in the rev range between 1000 and 2500 revs.

Can you please help me!!!

there can be many resons for flat spotting dirty fuel filter ,bad spark,dirtyair filter,slight air leek,wrong timming, i would do a full service .plugs,air,fuel,filters, and adjust the timeing and cheak for air leeks and oil change as well

Wouldnt dirty injectors make it slow through out the whole rev range?

not all the time. the higher the revs means the more petrol gets shoved through the little hole. so eventually there is so much fuel that goes in that u won't lose power......just my theory.
