im sick of my s**t diff robing the power from my engine. i need something thats gona get me goin quiker, something for drag racing. It has the stock diff from factory in it at the moment. so im guessing its a 2.77:1 or a 2.92:1?????? its just a falcon GL.

i want something around the around the 3.5:1 or 3.23:1

where can i get a new diff and how much? links, numbers ect would be great. cheers

Look for something like a

3:45 or a 3:27

its most likely a 292 or 277 depends on what type of gearbox

Or make Arm buy another Auto ED XR6 wreck so he can sell you the 3.45, Upper control arms, and the ED XR interior...

are all the bolts ect a straight line up for the 3.45 to an EA?

top ones are, bottom ones are not .


I've got a few sets of 3.27 3.23 diff gears if your interested

i found a 3:27 was adaquote for my auto, and now its not bad for my 5 speed too...still i want a 3:45

i hav a 3.45:1 lsd for sale out at ea. told is in good cond askin 300 but it is neg... diff is in mildura

Shorter, different mounting point, different pinion angle.
Hard to gauge the difference when I changed all my suspension as well, but at a guess I'd say more grip on launch.

yer the ea diff will fit into ef/el as far as i no the only difference that i no of is the flange on the diff housing for the tail shaft, its a nknuckle not a plate, easily swapped tho... yer the diff centre was put into it out of a later model falcon. bought brand new 3 years ago n am told its still in good condintion.

nah the diff wont fitt ef/el because the the handbrake setup, yes the flange is different, but also, so are the lower control arm bushes.
