I have an ED and it wont start, i havepulled out a spark plug and earth i, it sparked, the engine turns over fine, i disconnected the metal pipe from the fuel filter and turned the key to use the lift pump and fuel spirted out so i guess that is ok, i reconnected it. My brother says it isnt smartlock because the interior lights are working and because the engine is turning over. Please help asap, thanx

check coil and replace it there like $30-40

Do you have injector pulse?(use noids lights or an led test light to test)If you dont have injector pulse i would look further into the inner module of the distributor because it controls the injector pulse.If this is the problem it is easier/cheaper to replace the distributor.

Injector pulse is checked between the injector plugs on each injector on the fuel rail.To check for injector pulse just remove one og the injector plugs and use a noid or led test light and bridge it across the 2 injector pins in the plug and crank the engine over.You should have injector pulse if you dont like i mentioned before i would replace the distributor.nother question does your smartlock light flash??

What did you test them with???Have you done anything to the car previously to lead to this???Do you have spark???Just pull the number one lead off stick screw driver inside the lead end and earth the screw driver on the rocker cover bolt or the rocker cover...

Remember you mig get a shock if you dont use a proper insulated screwy.

i have already tested spark plug it sprked, i assume the other 5 r fine

Not really if youhave a blown fuse like the crt fuse your smartlock light wont flash and your interior lamp wont work.So the car has spark and fuel injector pulse and cranks over.
So does it crank over fast enough???Do you have enough fuel pressure?Try cycling the pump...Or spray some aero start into the intake tube and try starting.

i hit a roo a while back and have been repairingthe car since then, just finished last week and it ran fine, since then all i have done is install the headlights and indicators, i have unpluged them and tried to start the car and it makes no difference
