Im thinking of saving for a new car.
Currently i have a EF GLi w/Fairmont seats, 12inch sub,4x 6 inch pioneer speakers on explode header. Its done 276k Km but looks in great nic. Just have to replace the front bar.

First...How much could i get for it???

I want a AU II or III but considering the BA.
ATM u can get BA's for 16k and ill get a 2k trade in.

When im 18 (dob dec 1989) My grand parents double whats in my bank.

Im unsure as in what to get.

Tell me what you think and how much i can get the for EF GLi

Cheers

The EF would probably sell for around $3500 I would imagine. The problem is the market is flooded with 90s model big cars at the moment and with fuel prices on the up its lowering the prices you can get for them.

Go the BA. 100% all the way. The extra money you will need to get yourself into a BA well and truly justifys the extra power (and believe me, they F**k hunt!!!), better looks and better suspension (control blade IRS standard across the range, except ute and wagon).

You will regret purchasing an AU instead of a BA, unless you opt for an XR...

Believe me, the BA is the ducks guts!!! :)

Yeah, about $3,000 will have the EF sold within a month...

Better looks is subjective.
control blade IRS was only on the XR8 and FPV models in the BA.
BA mark II it became standard across the range I believe.

Check out the auctions as I got my BA for 13 with 60k's on it. Go the BA as apart from being pretty fast stock, the interior is such a decent upgrade from the AU.

Dude, the the IRS is standard equipment on ALL BA Falcons bar ute and wagon...

Plus, you get the brilliant sequential auto mode in BA.

Ill see what happens but im considering a BA.

My parents told me to get a house or property but i said to dad that i am thinking of an AU II but he said NOOO get a BA which is weird cause hes a stupid holden f**k (that explains it)

HEHE

don't confine your search to adelaide when looking. i just bought myself a 03 ba futura wagon with 100000kms for $14000 from qld. cost me $129(easter) to fly up and touch under 200 in fuel to drive back. still way cheaper than buying local. much more to choose from on eastern states. if youre not a fan of driving then freight is only 4 - 500 from qld.

Take out a personal loan for 50 grand the day before. Collect 50k from the oldies, repay 51k the following day and spend the change on a brand spankers xr6 turbo

Just fix up what you have man. A BA in 5 years will be worth whatever your EF is worth now.
