Hey guys

Just got my paccy comp extractors fitted and lukey exhaust system fitted to my au xr6.
How long does the cat fur burning smell last for?
and how long will it take to tune in? i also whacked a k&n and bigger snorkel in. Will the ecu tune its self or should i get it dyno tuned?

if a dyno tune is in order whos a good place to go to close to mornington?

cheers

cant dyno tune EEC-V so dont bother there.

the ECU will relearn itself, although its not that big of a change.

the burning smell can last a week or 2 depending.

take it for a nice hour long drive and that will help.

you can try disconnecting your negative battery connector, then take it for a good drive....
burning smeel will go away after a few hundred k's.

How does it go with the new exhaust set up.

I have hurricane headers on mine and I think its a redback 2.5 inch system. I was really happy with the performance gain. Got some more balls down low as well.

Hows yours respond??

Very happy with the performance gain.

The car is very punchy with its response. Basically when you plant ya foot down it picks speed up alot quicker. i have noticed the gain in taking off not so much doing 100 then trying to gain speed. and it sounds awsome :).

All i gotta do now is wait for the stench to go and for it to tune in.

My EL Ghia with extractors/exhaust and XR motor.... when you boot the thing its will just spin the whole first gear drifting sideways (lsd)

Stock its just spun a little and took off.

Definately gains there from that mod. I cant imagine how good an XR would be with 60kg less.
