Only australian car ever to receive the 5 star safety rating. Neither commodore or Aurion are 5 star.

Wonder if we'll see some ads from Ford to make sure everyone knows this. (they'd be crazy not too, but ford have done some nutso things over the years.)

havn't Ford since released a statement saying that that report is premature, and was not released by them or the testing body.

Dunno.. but I wouldn't want a safety report released by the manufacturer themselves.. That would be like believing Microsoft reports showing Vista to be the best thing since sliced bread...

Why would ford decry a safety report that puts them ahead of the pack?

Acutally, have a look at this:

http://www.ford.com.au

They appear to have it in big writing on the site, so I'm guessing they agree with the report.

The report was officially released today, the report from Monday was premature (but the same report - ANCAP).

Typcially, Ford Marketing is asleep and on prozac, creating boring information poor ads.

Ch10 just ran the story, and mentioned sales of Falcon are up 5% over last year. :)

Cool.. I just read another report that said Commodore VE sales are actually down on where VZ sales were..

Ford up.. holden down... the world just seems right all of a sudden.

Can really call them 'crumpledoors' now, they're less safe.

:)

ford are launching a massive marketing campaign on august 8th - this friday - to get the point across.

also as a side note, when you look at the actual scores for the tests, it scores better than many many european cars, despite the 5 star rating.

A good win for falcon
