Open the bonnet and take out the dip stick and smell it. Does it smell like its "cooked"?
Why did it cook?
Is there any water in it?
Is the oil milky?

Have you got spark? The coil might of given up the ghost when it got hot, or the dizzy too.

Well, theres a problem then, eh?
You'll need to see if theres a signal from the dizzy to the coil.
You might need a tow truck to take it to the Mech's.

did you do anything else or arc somthin out , it could be as simple as a blown fuse in the fuse box its a 10amp interior light fuse that can cause it not to start other than that like others have said it could be dizzy

you didn't unplug or damage the crank angle sensor when you replaced the harmonic balancer?

is it dizzy or batch coil?

if dizzy pop the dizzy cap off and get some one to crank it dose the rotor button spin?

if so good when u checked for spark did you try more than one ignition lead and plug? it might of damage the connection from the heat.

check if the coil is getting power with a test light or multimetre
that will let you know where you stand if it getting power and there no spark you be after a new coil.

also if you do get it running you proberly find she will never run a perfict idel cause you would have damaged the piston ring from the high tempature so they will be unable to retract back to there original size and strenght (lets just say i had it happen to me)

EL's don't have a crank angle sensor where the EF had one. The EL harmonic balancer doesn't have a tone wheel like the EF did.
