i found a complete ef intake manifold and was really thinkin about getting it,
i posted a thingy ages ago askin questions, i found out i need a ef/el ecu+smart lock, and other things but thats the main bit now, how hard would it be to put the smartlock in? what does it consist of and all that and is the ecu a straight swap with the standard ea one? i dont like asking questions i feel so dumb  but i have to learn somewhere
i have a 1991 ea2 30th aniversary edition 5sp manual anyhelp will be very nice |

From what i know, the ecu in not a straight swap and involves some extra wiring to be done. As for the smartlock i dont know, do a search and ull find all the info u need.

you'll need an el ecu, you'll find the ef ecu won't run it cause it is different to el.

sorry it is a el manifold .. if theres any difference,
its the el ecu im after but im mainly concerned about the smartlock i wanna know what im in for before i buy the manifold |

EB1 ED & EL will not work in an EA. To get the smartlock working you will have to get the whole engine and dash loom from an EL for it to work. Awiting confirmation... |

(exact same engine) Dunno about the pre-smartlock EBII ECU in a EA but i definatly know smartlock EBII, ED, EF, EL work go work in EA unless smarlock has been fitted

EF will not work. DIfferent pinouts and runs coil packs not dizzy.
