Yeah FINALLY got rid of the duct taped up intake and got a new one installed today. Bloody happy with it too, its not a mandrel bent intake but it still flows bloody nicely and this weekend im considering spraying it a pretty colour lol.

Starts off as an EL intake 180 degree bend from TB with all new hoses from mixer going into it etc and clamps. then form thier a bit of flex tubing witch goes into an EF intake metal spacer thingy and from thier has another large bit of flex tubing which goes to the airbox.

Its sucking a s**t more air too coz the AU ticky intake is making alot more noise than what it used to so im really happy.

I will take pics of it too as soon as the storm clears tommorrow :)

Unfortunately due to a mix up with the parts supplier i was unable to get the leads i wanted so i will have to chase them up myself but the mechanic did put a seperator kit thru my old leads and fixed them up a little bit so they sit better on the plugs.

Have yet to drive it on LPG but on petrol the throttle response has improved greatly!! So fingers crossed fixing all those airleaks will have stopped my XR from backfiring on LPG. If not then its the leads to blame, which i will be getting soon ne way.

Cheers just thought i would let you all know how i went with it. Also found out that the fuel pressure regulator was to blame for my weird injector noise too.

Yeah im happy with it altought thier are a few other things which im going to do as well over the next couple of weeks, including the new leads im also going to add a relief valve for the LPG so IF it does back fire then the pressure will be released through thier rather than my whole intake. also im buying a new chrome adaptor for my air box as well i think the ones you can buy for the Pods ect should fit the airbox as well. :P

So it should look heaps nicer once all that has been done. Im also going to spray some of the parts with Black HPC spray paint. :)

Na its proper stuff same as the flex-i tubing the ford intakes have. has a metal pipes running thru it as well, to keep heat down a bit and also so its more solid etc... Im possibly gonna clean it up stray it and upgrade the adapter this wekend so it should look pretty shmicko. :P

HI all finally got around to driving the XR6 on LPG with the new intake etc. And well F*** me its jast as powerful as petrol now, the car feels sooo much stronger!! Acceleration is quicker and smoother and evan off the line it doesnt labour anymore or backfire im stoked!!!

I knew the holes in my intake was too blame for its poor performance. :P
