I’m getting a new motor for my EB so what would be the best mods to do to it before I put it in? Other than turbo this maybe a later project,

I would like to know what I could do with a budget of about $3000 - $5000.

Was thinking of head work, bore, injectors, EL inlet manifold, cam, flow, compression, blue printed & balanced, xr computer, extractors & cat so what more can be done? WOULD LIKE TO GET ABOUT 170+RWKW.

Cheers

Daniel

Port and polish the head and put in a stage 3 RPD/ALTED cam
Exhaust and extractors and hi flow cat.
Cold air intake
and maybe NOS just for fun

I put an EL block straight into my EB. Cost me $1000 for full EL engine with Intake and exhaust manifolds.

After replacing all the bearings rings etc. I put a new different timing cover on. I think its from a ED.

And that’s what’s in my car now. I have a lot more torque. And power. That was all done for around $1500

ok, in my opinion (leaen from my mistakes) get it all done localy.

find a good local mechanic (i did, and im stoked), talk to him, and talk about exactly what you want, than buy all the big parts yoursef ie, rpd/alted cam, acl oversize pistons, etc, etc.
then find a good head shop, and get them to do your head, exactly how you want it. take the bottom end to you mechanic, get him to put it all together, and get him to put you engine in, and WALLAH'. your very own EBEAST if you will.

but please dont buy engines from interstate, parts are ok, as its less money spent if something goes wrong (like me)

and for 5k i doubt you will get 170+rwkw, and/or a blueprint and balance.

also where are you in adelaide? i could recommend some places.
