Is a new o2 sensor supposed to have grease on or something on it?

Couldn't see it in the packaging because it was covering everything!

You can see how much there is in there. Supposed to be there?

only on the threads. you dont want any chemicals near the sensor element, it will damage it.

they normally have a dark grease on the threads and screw on plastic cover to protect sensor.
