FYI - I just replaced my standard leads with Top Gun Heavy Duty leads, and am quite impressed. Got em for 61 bucks (trade) from Auto One - Cheap but effective mod. Also replaced the distributor cap and ignition coil at the same time.

Have noticed an immediate improvement in fuel economy and throttle response - especially since the dist cap was corroded to s**t!

Ford started fitting Iridium plugs as original equipment on the later AUII's.
They are Denso's, and are quite good, will last up to 100,000kms.

try the staniless steel insert spirals from repco .well thats were i got mine for an ef i had for 3 years and never skipped a beat .They were designed for taxi market on fords with lpg ,yes you to will laugh like i did,but 110 dollars later i put them on and never looked back. i have had top guns 10mls all the high end jobbys and they either work really well for a while or no noticeable difference. i only suggest these because of the high operating temps they were designed for. The iridium plugs worked well in a twin turbo legacy i owned in n.z years ago because they burn a little better and turbo are reliant on pyro temps were n/a and injected non turbos are not. :)

i just paid $75 for top gun max 300 leads.
there top guns low resistance high temp leads for gas. retail is 126 or somting.
my old leads had about 150 ohms resistance, the new ones have 2-3ohms.
i barley noticed a difference....

i have a feeling m coil packs munted.
also my injectors are leaking, so it could be that the leak is so bad that the s**t ignitio wasnt affecting it...
i also replced the plugs with ngk ones and had them gapped to 1.0mm i think....

top gun and champion bth come out of the same factory. top gun came out when champion lost its name years ago. now they are back on par. but spark plugs if you want a good plug for the standard price, get ngk v-grooves' they have a v cut in the tip and allow for a better spark whilst costing the same as a standard. ive run them in my last three cars and have found them fine. iridiums are also not the best choice for supercharged cars.....they foul up quicker

Try 220000 kms and they just started to break down definately a far superior spark plug :D :D :D
