put battery on charge over night and replaced the alternator and she all good so far.
funny that there wasn't a battery light on then on the dash maybe the bulb blown

Did you check your charge rate after fitting the alternator?new or 2nd hand alternator?you should have a battery light on when you turn on the ignition and it goes off when you start the car.or you still have problems and you are going to run just on battery power and then stop, and all your problems start all over again.Until you know everything is ok I would keep charging your battery so you won't get stuck up the creek.Cheers Kevman

not sure about the miss, but my el lost all power to the dash etc and it turned out to be the BEM.. on mine everything else worked fine motor, headlights etc etc but nothing on the dashboard..

might be worth trying another one? a futura one shouldnt be too hard to get hold of..
