A few days ago I replaced the alternator drive belt on my ED and ever since then it has been very noisy. I have re-tentioned the belt but the noise persists and it's starting to really annoy me.
What are some good ways to stop the noise? Beltgrip spray perhaps?

You could try applying some Dri-Lube or soap while the engine is running.

just tighten the belt properly as you said you just replaces it.
Unless its the alternator itself thats fukd.

I've tightened it properly and also re-tightened it after it had bedded in and still the noise persists.
The alternator itself is in great condition - Only 6 months old.

I might give the soap a try and see what happens.

A good way to do it is while the car is running grab a keg of soap and put it against both sides of the belt. Let the belt dig into it, noise will stop. Belt grip is not too bad but I always found it tends to pull the paint off the pulleys. The soap will work a treat and costs nothing really

Remove the belt and clean it properly, also clean the pulleys (all of them) with carby cleaner or something suitable. Dry lube sticks are the best, if it still whines it may be a bearing or bad adjustment somewhere.

s**t belt setup? it is horrible

and using lube only masks the problem. the belt is still slipping. just the lube made it quiet

as u said. it loads up your alternator.. in essence putting load on your alternator belt making it slip.
