Have you got a pod filter or extractors?

My EF makes that noise and has both of those mods. Although now with the new cam, you can't hear anything over the exhaust.

Intake Mods - K&N Panel Filter, AU3 XR8 Snorkel

- thats why its doing it..

K&N etc filters always make the engin louder when you accelerate.

howzit
your engine is just breathing deeper
just get a louder exhaust or somthing
or put air intake in a sound deadened box

You just have induction noise which is the sign of a well breathing engine.... something that people generally strive to achieve, not silence ;-)
