How does this happen?

If you want more down low, get a 3.45 diff, and a cam.

If your REALLY serious, install a low boost turbo set-up.

If you SUPER serious, buy an XR6T :)

you'll see it if you look at the linkage for it and get some one to start the car.
when it starts the linkage will move from short runner mode to long runner.

if it doesn't move it's stuck in short mode and would cause the lack of low down power.
