Gday all
Decided to do a bit of work on the falcon today, i.e. install the extractors that have been sitting around.

unbolted the cat pipe on the exhaust end easy enough, went to unbolt the headers / exhaust manifold / whatever you want to call it, as I was doing this I noticed the sensor had to come off. Now iv been having piss poor fuel economy so I thought "hmm needs a clean" took it off and it's coated in carbon so I cleaned it with sandpaper.

Now my dad recons that this would have stuffed the sensor, I hope not.
I also noticed there are 4 pin receivers but only 3 pins is this normal?
And also the pins were coated in gunk much like ear wax, I cleaned this of ...I hope its not there for a purpose.

Finally is there any way that I can test to see if it is internally stuffed with like a volt meter or something?

Thanks all.

It was most likely already stuffed as they have a limited life of about 100,000klm. Pretty easy and common replacement from Bursons, supercrap, repco etc.

Was just going to suggest that. I got my last one for an AU for approximately $50 for a genuine Bosch one.
