BTW Is welding a option if it is cracked / elongated torque converter bolt holes / rivets loose etc or is it replace only?

Yea the oil level was just on low, could this have suffed something down low (maybe ran dry with up/down & cornering forces??)
topped up with new oil 1000kms ago little improvement but very audible

Don't top up, drain it and refill with clean stuff. Obviously not in this case, but dirty oil can cause the hyla's to tap.
