only way yo get an accurate reading is on a level surface!

and i've never needed more than a 5L container of oil to fill up a Falcon. i thought the sumps were only 5.5L anyways. usually tipping the entire 5L's in makes it perfect for me.

Yea, same with me, Ive never had to put in more than 5L in my EL.

Your right, the book states 5.5 litres. However you can't drain all the oil out so when you replace it you will generally find that only 5 litres will fit back in.
