You have to get a gauge with a sender that matches the gauge and get yourself a 'T' piece and put in the the engine were the current oil light sender is, then put the current oil sender in to the back of the 'T' piece and put you new sender into the side opening of the 'T' piece

Ok sorry didnt know there was that much in it, just a aftermarket oil pressure gauge, its for a GLI so theres no oil pressure gauge standard.

just the std xr cluster?
if so... just add the cluster (police or XR) into the car and replace the oil switch for a sender unit.

If you want a mechanical guage.. you need a T-piece and plumb it to the block and add the sender/pipe too it.

if you want 2 electrical guages.. I'd advise you add 2 senders and have 2 readings... as the factory one prolly doesn't use the same resistance of the aftermarket one.

just put one in my car a few weeks ago! GO the electric one as no oil vac line is used, and is easy to put in.
