Holden obvously disagree, considering when you look at the VE, you can see half the things they compied from the BA/BF!!!
Maybe I should get a new Holden Monaro, or an Adventura, or 1 tonner ute, or any Commodore ute or wagon, o wiat they don't exist in the VE range! Better buy a Ford then!
What sorta sad people come onto a Ford website to make gay comments like that about Holden?

Ive dropped the k-frame on my ef. Its easier than pulling the engine, but still not something you would do without a good reason.

So what holds the engine up? A crane or something from the top?

A bit of Mitsubishi 380 in the boot area.

yeah - crane or block 'n tackle.

Basically drive it onto ramps, support the engine from above, unbolt the engine mounts, unbolt everything that attaches to the k-frame (sway bar and steering rack). Unbolt the k-frame and it will drop 6" (enough to wiggle the sump out). If you want to drop it further undo the top shocker mounts in the engine bay and it will fall another foot.
