Could either be a rear main oil seal? or maybe a small leak from the back of the Transmission? or from the diff seal?

Maybe the next time you park it, mark the place where the tyres are on the ground and you can then work out where it may be coming from? Worth a try.

yeah, rear main, sump gasket, rocker cover, behind the belt tensioner or balancer.

ELs are old dude. could be leaking from any number of gaskets and seals,
best thing you can do id buy some degreaser clean it all down well, drive the car for 15mins and get under it and look.

to give you an idea of the sort of question you just asked.
"I have a box full of string, i just picked out a peice, Anyone know how long it is?"

I had a leak that was very minor, turns out the sump had loosend off and bit at the back. So tightend it back up and put some sealant around the gasket and its gone.
